I don’t care if it’s really Tuesday, I’m still having a “case of the Mondays”. (For those of you who don’t get the reference, you need to watch more Ron Livingston movies.) First, I didn’t sleep well at all last night. I woke up probably ten times and I think almost all of them were because of my dog messing with the blinds and making them rattle. Then she woke me up again (early, I might add) by jumping up on my bed and sticking her nose in my face. She wanted to go out. Now, to be fair, that’s a lot better than her making a mess on the carpet, but it’s still no fun when you’re already dead tired.
When I got to work and turned on the computer I was greeted with a wonderful message saying that one of the files was “missing or corrupted”. No clue why and no clue what the heck happened over the weekend to cause this. I tried to “repair” it, but that was no use since the stupid repair function couldn’t locate the OS installation. IT couldn’t help, either. So, that meant that I got to spend the morning reinstalling the OS. Joy!
When I finally got it all installed, I discover (as I’d feared/expected) that pretty much none of the programs that are already on there will work because the DLLs aren’t registered, etc., etc. so they aren’t “hooked in” to the OS. More installing, updating, registering, etc. That’s what I’ve been doing all day.
And I’m still dead tired. [sigh] Yep, a case of the Mondays…

I’m trying soooooo hard to not say the most obvious thing that wants to leap forth from my mouth [fingers].
So I won’t. You know what I’m going to say, and I know what I’m going to say, and that’s good enough for me.
