A New Entry, Or Is It?

I must admit that I’ve always been rather fascinated by “déjà vu”—a situation where you “experience a vague sense of having encountered a situation before, identical in every detail, even though we can’t say when the first event took place”.  I’ve experienced it quite a few times in my life, as have most people I know.

An article titled Strangely Familiar in Scientific American Mind delves into the phenomenon some.  There are a number of theories proposed, but nothing concrete posited as “the reason” for it.  I was hoping for a bit more of an answer, but it’s still quite interesting to read the article.

Yeah, while watching the Matrix, I believe I said out loud: “So that’s why I get déjà vu!” when Neo encountered the “glitch”.
