Alcohol, Dehydration, & Hangovers

This link about alcohol and dehydration was passed on by a friend.  Most of us know that drinking alcohol will dehydrate you and many of us know that this is because alcohol is a diuretic.  I didn’t know the actual science behind it, though, which is rather interesting.  (The science is interesting, not the fact that I didn’t know! [grin])

You’ll also see why (as I’ve always suggested) you should drink a big glass of water before going to sleep after you’ve been drinking.

And hooray for the beer crowd!  And Naaay to you whiskey drinkers!  Though *my* beer is often on the side of a negative net amount of water, heh.  Very little of my beer is as low as 5%.

i had a bad night of drinking also hugging the toilet. and the next day, all day i’ve been throwing up and havent been able to eat anything whats wrong with me?????

I’m 14 and im doing a science fair project on what type of alcohol is most dehtdrating and i cant find many sites that give me the correct information. If you have any knowledge in this field please send me some information on this topic to my e-mail
