An Episcopal Muslim Bishop?

tit. 1:9 is key here.
Here are some ( by no means all ) scriptures concerning Homosexuality.
1Co 6:9 Don’t you know that evil people won’t have a share in the blessings of God’s kingdom? Don’t fool yourselves! No one who is immoral or worships idols or is unfaithful in marriage or is a pervert or behaves like a homosexual
Jud 1:7 What happened to Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities near them is an example for us of the punishment of eternal fire. The people of these cities suffered the same fate that God’s people and the angels did, because they committed sexual sins and engaged in homosexual activities.
Deu 23:17 There shall be no prostitute among the daughters of Israel, nor shall there be a homosexual among the sons of Israel. { God is speaking here }
Lev 18:22 You may not have sex relations with men, as you do with women: it is a disgusting thing. { God is spesking }
Lev 20:13 And if a man has sex relations with a man, the two of them have done a disgusting thing: let them be put to death; their blood will be on them. { God is speaking - the old law was big on stoning people to death }
This is for educational purposes only kids!
Here are some scriptures on Atheism and the denial of Christ as Lord {God}- ala Muslim.
Psa 10:4 The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, saith, He will not require it. All his thoughts are, There is no God.
Psa 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; There is none that doeth good.
Jud 1:4 Some godless people have sneaked in among us and are saying, “God treats us much better than we deserve, and so it is all right to be immoral.” They even deny that we must obey Jesus Christ as our only Master and Lord. But long ago the Scriptures warned that these godless people were doomed.
Dan 9:26 And after sixty-two weeks Christ shall be slain: and the people that shall deny him shall not be his. And a people, with their leader, that shall come, shall destroy the city, and the sanctuary: and the end thereof shall be waste, and after the end of the war the appointed desolation.
I’m certainly not going to get into a discussion of religion itself and what is or isn’t right. I’m just wondering why someone who’s Muslim would even bother/attempt to become an Episcopal bishop in the first place.
I mean, why? Just the thrill of being able to do it? I certainly don’t think that’s the case since I assume you have to be pretty dedicated to the church/congregation to ever make it to the point where you’d be even considered to be a bishop (regardless of whether you’re Muslim, Catholic, Jewish, Episcopalian, etc.).
Just very odd.
I can think of a few reasons.
A#1: Money
A#2: See A#1.
The Episcopalian church is so grossly rich, and has no firm constructed belief system, that it doesn’t matter to dude or the church what he really believes. As long as he gets paid and their property and possessions are tax free.
Ok wait, now I’m confused. The bottom of that article states:

Satire?
I think Chris has said it best.
It is very odd.
OMG you really did. You posted a link to a source and commented on it without checking it’s authenticity at all.
Now who’s the dork, Mr. Curtis?
Well as long as chris is being “openly” dorkish we can all vote him back into his own weblog office. One vote here and all in favor say “I”.
Happens to the best, Chris.
I invite you to enjoy more daily news satire at ScrappleFace.com, where I post 3-5 such “news stories” most days.
Curse you, BlogDex!! Making me look silly in front of all (3) of my loyal readers!! :o Bah humbug!
As the good old saying goes, “there’s a sucker born every minute.” Thanks for taking the time to check out my posting, Scott. I guess the best satire/humor is the kind that’s so close to believable that it makes you stop and wonder. I’ll certainly be stopping by ScrappleFace to check things out.
Word, Chris. The Onion was beginning to bore me anyway. And the Daily Show generally only runs one spoof story per day and that’s just not enough!!
Dork. Moving all that heavy stuff must have...oh wait that was me. :beer:
Wow! this blog has politics and religion! wohooo!
At any rate here are some requirements for being a bishop. As the webpage for the article says we report you decipher.
The Holy bible. The Apostle paul to Titus:
Tit 1:5 I did not take you with me when I went away from Crete, so that you might do what was necessary to put things in order there, placing men in authority over the churches in every town, as I said to you;
Tit 1:6 Men having a good record, husbands of one wife, whose children are of the faith, children of whom it may not be said that they are given to loose living or are uncontrolled.
Tit 1:7 For it is necessary for a Bishop to be a man of virtue, as God’s servant; not pushing himself forward, not quickly moved to wrath or blows, not desiring profit for himself;
Tit 1:8 But opening his house freely to guests; a lover of what is good, serious-minded, upright, holy, self-controlled;
Tit 1:9 Keeping to the true word of the teaching, so that he may be able to give comfort by right teaching and overcome the arguments of the doubters.
Tit 1:10 For there are men who are not ruled by law; foolish talkers, false teachers, specially those of the circumcision, {this concerns judaism -caesar }
Tit 1:11 By whom some families have been completely overturned; who take money for teaching things which are not right; these will have to be stopped.
Tit 1:12 One of their prophets has said, The men of Crete are ever false, evil beasts, lovers of food, hating work.
Tit 1:13 This witness is true. So say sharp words to them so that they may come to the right faith,
Tit 1:14 Giving no attention to the fictions of the Jews and the rules of men who have no true knowledge. { The jews of this era were overly concerned with traditions that conflicted with known scripture. - caesar }
Tit 1:15 To the clean in heart all things are clean: but to those who are unclean and without faith nothing is clean; they become unclean in mind and in thought.
Tit 1:16 They say that they have knowledge of God, while by their acts they are turning their backs on him; they are hated by all, hard-hearted, and judged to be without value for any good work.
