Boston Legal on ‘Protesting’

Today certainly wasn’t meant to be all “political”, but it appears to be heading that way.  This week’s Boston Legal episode (not a show I watch, mind you) had a clip where James Spader’s character is apparently defending someone for tax evasion.  His closing argument speech is simply amazing in how it cogently speaks to so many of the things that have been—or still are—going on over the past few years with our freedoms and rights.  Take a few minutes and watch the video of the closing argument.  (You can also find the video on YouTube or download it from Crooks and Liars.)

wow, hell of a speech. Now if he would just say it again on the whitehouse lawn.

This argument is definetly producing some better shows. I think though that the Whitehouse lawn is reserved for the president’s dogs. So any speech there would defiinetly get Spade a howl or two. And who knows, maybe a Police state is the future for the U.S. I mean we like to fight so much anyway, why not just fight ourselves? Reminds me of the Titor story. http://www.johntitor.com/
