Dan Cederholm has put up yet another great article on his SimpleBits site. This one covers clickable images for link backgrounds. This really isn’t a new trick for me—I use the same approach for the little graphics next to the external links on this site—but it’s a nice summary post that could be useful to a lot of people.

I even managed to remove the need for an image file for building the different colored squares in the menu. All built with CSS!
