Comic RSS Feeds

For some reason I decided to update the RSS/Atom feeds I’m subscribed to with NetNewsWire (2.0 beta) this morning.  Specifically, I wanted to grab feeds to some of the web comics that I enjoy but have been neglecting to read simply because I don’t make the effort to go to the sites.  Hence, an RSS/Atom/whatever feed for them would be really useful, even if it just works as a reminder to go check their site for the new strip.

Unfortunately, many online comics don’t provide feeds for use.  Luckily, people have set up services that help compensate for that lack.  So, here are links to some webcomic RSS feeds if you might find them useful:

8-bit Theater
Alien Loves Predator
Get Fuzzy
Order of the Stick
Penny Arcade
User Friendly

The “Order of the Stick” and “8-bit Theater” feeds use the Comic Alert site; a separate user account ("sticky" and “8bitheater”, respectively) was created for each and only the corresponding comic was added.  So, they’re effectively dedicated feeds for those comics.  A similar thing was done for a her! RSS feed, but support for that comic is currently “pending” with the service.  If they ever start supporting it then the feed linked in the previous sentence should magically start working.

So, enjoy some webcomic RSS goodness.  Feel free to share some of your own favorite webcomic feeds.

I still haven’t gotten into the swing of using an RSS reader daily.  I seem to already be *in* my browser for so much of the day, that it’s a hassle to switch out.  Maybe I’ll make a habit of it in the new Safari, but feeds and me just haven’t clicked yet.  For comics, I use a bookmark of tabs.  So one bookmark opens every comic that I read in a separate tab.
