Containing CSS Floats

Eric Meyer (he of the CSS Pantheon) has a nice article discussing some of the behavior of CSS floats.  Most experienced designers will already be aware of it, but the behavior can really throw unsuspecting designers for a loop with what they’d consider some very strange behavior.

The article covers a bit of the same subject that’s touched upon in one of my favorite articles: Real World Style’s floating thumbnails piece.  That one, of course, is also a good resource for new developers.
