Cory Doctorow’s DRM talk
Comments
just surfing. but, nice blog you have, anyway.
Last week, Cory Doctorow (sci-fi author, constant Boing Boing author, and :EFF: coordinator) gave a talk to Microsoft’s Research Group about :DRM:. Basically, it was about how DRM doesn’t work. His main points:
That DRM systems don’t work
That DRM systems are bad for society
That DRM systems are bad for business
That DRM systems are bad for artists
That DRM is a bad business-move for MSFT
This is a long article, so you’ll want to set aside some time for reading it, but it’s certainly worth the investment.
