Day (X-5): Gotta Crash Somewhere

Seeing as how I’m getting some new vehicles, a new motorcycle, big-screen television and a screaming new computer, I figure I should also find somewhere to put it all.  A quick search for available places in and around Austin turned up this little gem.

What the hell would anyone do with 7 bedrooms?  And 9 bathrooms?!?  (Well, 10.5 bathrooms if you want to add in the three half-baths...) For $13.5 million, though, I guess you really ought to get that many rooms.  I mean, it wouldn’t be fair to pay that much otherwise.

I’d like to think that even if I became a Bill Gates or some super-rich Hollywood actor I’d still never need something along these lines to live in.  Who knows, though… I imagine that kind of money really changes someone and they might actually need all that space with the sycophant hangers-on that would no doubt be in evidence.

One thing’s certain, though: I’d certainly have to get a bowling alley installed.  Oh, and a full-time bar staff.  Yeah, can’t forget the bar.

I hear SWAG colony.

Yes.

That’s *definitely* what I hear! wink

Dood, i would have a full-time bartender, with the bar. I would also have computers in every room, and muliple t3s...it would be nerd heaven.

Oooh, now that is an idea, Pete.  Er, I mean José.

So, how about we get our very own SWAG island?  1400 acres, private airstrip, and lots of trees.  Or maybe Swan Island, south of Melbourne near Tasmania.  It has a private airstrip, three homes, and a small weather station.

boooo no internet on the island… of course with that kind of money… i suppose you could get the satalites for your own internet..... but then again could solar power do all that?

Yes Chris, I believe the aforementioned palatial estate on the aforementioned island paradise would suit Clan SWAG very nicely.

Verrry nicely indeed!  rasberryirate:

Actually, yeah, you can get the internet just fine on Kaikoura.  And a ferry to Auckland for supplies beats the airstrip, imo, as Kaikoura has a bit more geological interest and better foliage.

Um, my bags are packed--when are we going?
