EFF: MP3 Caper
As Cory says over on Boing Boing:
:EFF: has released a new Flash movie aimed at explaining what’s good and what’s at risk with file-sharing. It’s called “The Great MP3 Caper,” and it’s some funny stuff.
So go ahead and watch the movie. If you haven’t done so yet, you should also think about joining the EFF or at least donating. I actually joined last week and I should have done so much sooner.

Yikes! Which membership did you pay? And while I am largely impressed and often point to the :EFF:, I’m not sure that I can commit money to them. I haven’t had exposure to them long enough to see evidence of how they manage their finances, and an organization like this (any form of consumer advocate group) very easily gets non-payment government grants to operate.
I’m not saying that I think the :EFF: is hiding something, or using money badly. I’m just saying that I don’t know that they don’t do those things.
Of course, I don’t know for sure that iTunes will bring good things to the long term in the interest of musicians and fans, and I support it with my money.
