Google ‘Suggest’

Yet again, Google has come up with a really cool idea.  This time from the minds over at Google Labs is Google Suggest.  Go there, start typing, and you’ll see possible results get shown as you type.  That’s pretty damned slick, I think.

Joel Spolsky suggests (no pun intended!) that features of this type are going to condition users to expect more from interfaces.  No doubt he’s right, too.
