i hate people

Well, not really.  Or, at least, not all the time.  But sometimes… sometimes I really do come close to just losing faith in people in general.  Typically with the intelligence of people in general.  This feeling almost always happens due to my participation in providing tech support to people.

Anyway, Derek is ‘da man’ and made up a t-shirt for me based off of a phrase I say to him more often than I wish was necessary:

Chris in his 'i hate people' shirt

Sorry folks, it’s a custom-made shirt with only two in existence.  I’m going to be in trouble when this one wears out!

Edit: I lied.  Due to popular demand, Derek has decided to make some more and put them up for sale.  See the new post for information on how you can get your very own “i hate people” t-shirt.

Make more.  Sell them.  Become rich.  Leave the people far behind.

I’d buy one…

I will have to agree with the statement there inlaid on your shirt.

I say you should set up a cafepress account.  You could be selling those shirts, and mugs and thongs too, within an hour.

Or if you don’t want to, can i do it?

Cafepress can’t do things on black shirts, actually.  (And they can’t print white, either.) Cafepress uses heat transfer (I believe that’s the correct term) on their shirts, so it’s pretty much the same sort of thing as if you printed a design on your own computer printer and ironed it onto a shirt.  That doesn’t really last too long and isn’t the best quality.

Doing true silk-screening would be the best, but that requires a large print run to make it economical.  The two shirts that did get made were done using the same technique as is used on your local soccer team’s jerseys.

Anyway, Derek and I have been discussing the possibility of actually making shirts available for sale.  Certainly no guarantees here, but we’ll definitely post an announcement if it does happen.
