iPiT - the iPod Mini iTunes Dashboard Widget
Comments
Yeah, I’m working on that. There’s no documentation on the iTunes Widget Plug-In to control iTunes via a widget, and I’m no Cocoa developer, so it’s going slow figuring that out.
I’ll Cocoa you.

iPiT is essentially a mod and skin of the Tiger-provided Apple iTunes Dashboard widget. I wanted something that looked more Apple-ish, and I figured an iPod Mini would do.
Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If youre using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widgets icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If youre using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widgets icon in the Widget Bar to open it.

Very nice, the original is kind of ugly.
The only thing i don’t like, (and this is how the default one works as well) is that when you pause and unpause it defaults to whatever is open in itunes, instead of the playlist you select in the wigdet.
Annoying.
