Kayaking, You Say?
Yep. A little over a week from now (April 27 to May 1) I’m going to be off on a Kayaking trip. Have I ever been kayaking? Nope. I’ve been canoeing, but we all know that isn’t quite the same. So, this is going to be quite a new experience for me. I admit that I’m a little apprehensive just because I’m still not sure quite what to expect. However, I’m most definitely looking forward to this and I think it’ll be a lot of fun.
We’ll be kayaking in the Land Between the Lakes area—specifically on Kentuky Lake and Lake Barkley. I’m meeting a friend (who lives in Illinois) there and we’re going with a group put together by a local outdoors/adventure store. It should be really interesting, both learning to kayak as well as going out on something like this with a group of complete strangers.
This is definitely the type of thing I like to do—outdoors adventure mixed with the unknown. ...And heaven knows I’m in need of a vacation!
