Maybe he’s just ugly
Mike Ricci, who has thus far been a major preventor of me being a Coyote’s fan, is not listed as being part of the available free agency list that came out yesterday.
In researching why such a travesty would occur, it appears that last year when he signed as a free agent with the Coyotes, he signed a multi-year contract, and only last season’s portion is nullified by the lockout. So he’s on for whatever the duration is.
However, during this research, I found why he chose #40 for his Coyotes jersey. So now when you buy a Mike Ricci Phoenix Coyotes jersey, part of the sale even goes to the Pat Tillman Foundation. Granted, I don’t agree with Pat’s decision to join up, but what happened to him was truly tragic. And the Foundation’s mission statement and activities are very vague, perhaps not actually accomplishing anything. So I guess this leaves the question: did he really want to honor Pat Tillman? Or did the Phoenix team owner suggest it when he signed (Tillman was an ASU grad) in order to win him over to the city or even to sell more jerseys?
Whether or not Ricci has a “good heart”, he still gets stupid penalties, and he still needs a haircut.
