Penny the Puppy

I’ve mentioned it offhand in a couple of other posts, so it’s not new news: I now have a dog.  Her name is Penny and she’s about 15 months old, give or take a little.  She’s a “mutt”, technically, but we’re pretty sure she’s mostly German Sheperd and Rottweiler.  Did I mention that she’s almost 70 lb (32 kg)?  She’s a handful.

Penny originally lived with my parents and their other three dogs (four in total).  Unfortunately, one day two of them (Penny and Molly) decided to get into a fight for dominance and both got injured fairly badly.  After a trip to the vet and several staples in both of them, the vet told my parents that when something like that happens you basically have to permanently separate the two dogs.  So… Penny moved in with me (and my two roommates) into our new apartment.

She’s already housebroken and crate-trained, which is a huge thing.  Unfortunately, she’s never had obedience training, so she has lots of bad manners; primary among them the fact that she barks and tries to go after everyone and everything she sees out the window or during a walk.  We’re scheduled for some training classes starting next week, so hopefully that’ll help.

Anyway, I’ve put up a new gallery that has some pictures of Penny in it.  I’ll no doubt add more over time as I take more pics.  Now you know who’s been taking up so much of my time!

Ahhh, we finally see the brother of Chris.  So, that begs the question: who is Strong Bad and who is Strong Sad?  Is Penny the Cheat?  Are you the Cheat?
