Neil Turner wrote up what looks to be a nice summary of the major weblog pinging services. It covers weblogs.com, blo.gs, technorati, etc.
This isn’t really something useful to most people, but it could be quite useful for :ExpressionEngine: users since they can custom-define their own pinging set.
