I previously posted an entry about an add-on for
Machine: I wrote. What I had certainly worked, but while working on another project I discovered that I needed something even more flexible and powerful. So, I went about revising the add-on from the ground up to allow for much greater control, flexibility, and to consume fewer server resources. Read on to find out about the revamped add-on.
This add-on is designed to allow you to retrieve information about members of your pMachine site. It can get information from either the currently logged-in user or any other user can be specified by member id number.
Further, either single or multiple fields of data can be retrieved using a single call to the function (and a single database query). If only a single field is specified then the result can either be echoed or returned by the function depending on what you choose. If multiple fields are specified then the data is automatically returned as an array, which can then be accessed.

Instructions for installing and using the add-on as well as some examples are included in the instructions.txt file inside the ZIP file.

The download link doesn’t work.. It may be due to the name of the file having two periods in it..
