Samorost 2
This one was found via (I think) Boing Boing. Somorost 2 is a flash-based game sort of in the same genre as Myst and those types; a puzzle solving game. Some aliens kidnapped your faithful dog and now you’re on a mission to go save it. Chapter one of the game is just played in your browser. It’s free, rather fun, but overall fairly short. Chapter 2 (which apparently takes up where the first left off, as you might imagine) is for-pay ($10) and is supposed to be longer than the first chapter, which I certainly hope is the case. Still, the first chapter was really quite interesting and fun to play though and I’d encourage you all to try it out.
There are also other games available by the same artist/author, including the first “Samarost” game.
