Sue us Microsoft, we Dare You!

An Australian group, Aussiechip, has created plans for an XBox modchip that allows users to run content “not sanctioned” by Microsoft.  This includes things like the Linux OS or legitimate backup copies of users’ games.  (Though it would also allow the illegal use of copied/bootlegged games.)

The group is releasing the plans on its website.  The catch?  You have to agree “to issue proceedings in its home jurisdiction of Queensland, should” you choose to sue.  Notable here is the fact that a Queensland court has ruled that modchipping is legal.
