Taxing Computer Networks?
It looks as though Florida may be getting a computer network tax. At least, that’s what a new rule currently being formulated indicates.
The proposed rule pushes the definition of communications systems to include local area networks, or LANs, as well as wide area networks, or WANs, which connect computers across distances. Practically any office with two computers will have a local area network.
That’s pretty crazy if you ask me, since it sounds like it might also include homes or apartments with LANs. Regardless, it’s definitely something that a lot of people are going to be following with interest.
