The O’Franken Factor

Al Franken and cohorts radio station, Air America Radio went live yesterday, and I forgot all about it because it’s not being broadcast in this area.  It is on XM radio channel 167 if you have that, otherwise, they broadcast live (via icky Real Player, but you can use the “good" version).  I haven’t listened to it enough to form an opinion, but Franken’s and Garofalo’s shows will quite likely be funny enough for me to listen to anyway.  Dave Chappelle and Bill Maher are upcoming guest’s on Garofalo’s “The Majority Report.” And I understand that Franken is doing the reading for all of the commercials on his show, kind of like Paul Harvey, except Paul Harvey doesn’t switch to a Rush Limbaugh impersonation for his ads, hehe.

And why do you hate Janeane Garofalo?  She rules.  Reality Bites, the Ben Stiller Show, Cable Guy (serving wench), Mystery Men, Titan A.E., not to mention I’m a sucker for cute geeks.

yeah, i hate her. i figured you wouldnt like her to much, half of her stand up before she was on tv was about how stupid she thought people were for having religious beliefs.

I don’t recall much of her standup.  And most stand up commentary on religion is funny because it’s true.  I mean, I like George Carlin, primarly *because* he rips on the Catholic church. wink
