TiVo’s 30-second Skip

I’m one of those people who’s been sucked in by TiVo.  Even though it’s a marketing gimmick, it really does revolutionize the way you watch television.  Anyway, there’s apparently an “easter egg” that will allow you to turn on a 30-second Skip feature — something particularly useful for jumping over commercials.  I’ll definitely be trying this when I get home…

Ive always wanted to get TiVo but doesnt it cost like a million dollars or something? smile

oh craps - i screwed up your site chris - im sorry - at least thats the way it looks in IE (maybe its an IE thing), so maybe it doesnt look so bad in mozilla.

It’s fine in Mozilla.  IE seems to be doing that on comments that are “short”.  I can’t imagine any reason why it would do that, but I’ll see if I can figure it out.

Oh, and as to the cost of TiVo: the recorders are a bit expensive.  Service is $13 a month or (I think) a $250 one-time charge for “lifetime service”.
