It’s official. Manchester United has signed Tim Howard, a U.S. goalkeeper. Howard played with MLS’s MetroStars and has also made nine appearances with the U.S. national team. It’s great to see this happening since it lends even more credibility to the U.S. soccer program, which turned a lot of heads in the last World Cup. Give us a few years, world, we’ll be up there.
Reading the article, I was quite surprised to find out that Howard was born with Tourette’s syndrome. Obviously, I don’t think his is anything as extremem as all the comedy movies would imply, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
