Web Hosting Nightmares
Most of you have probably never had to worry about webhosting. Really, it’s not something most people have to do. For better or worse, though, I’m one of those people who does have to worry about it. One of the sites I run, swagonline.net, recently outgrew the hosting we got for it - less than two months into the term! Being unable to pay the $89/month they wanted (you want what??), we had to go searching for something better.
Well, that searching turned into an absolute nightmare. Long hours of Googling to find hosts with plans we thought would work. More time spent looking for reviews of said hosts. We finally settle on one and go to order the hosting only to discover that they’re presently not taking any more orders!
We finally settled on Rose Hosting. Ugh, more nightmare. Took them 12 hours to reply to the order and get the account set up. Not once has their “Live Support” been online. Excrutiatingly slow responses, complicated setup, and the lack of any Control Panel immediately made us decide we’d made the wrong choice. So, off for more searching.
That’s where our savior came in: Web Hosting Talk Forums. I posted a thread spelling out exactly what we needed in a server. Not one minute later we had our first reply. Then another came in. And another. 11 replies of hosting offers in less than an hour! Why didn’t we know about this resource a few days ago? We could have saved ourselves ulcers, headaches, and bad moods for an entire week!
Anyway, it looks like we’ve found our new Host: Buzzsaw Hosting. The CEO of the site spent almost half an hour chatting with us online - answering questions we had, asking us some questions in return, and basically convincing us that they really do care about us as a potential customer. If the service is even half as good as I’m inclined to think it will be, we should be in great shape. Now, off to go place the order…

I have a similar experience with webhostingtalk.com and have a five-star rated impression of their forum.
You have described about your experience with several webhosts, both sweet and bitter.
I wish you once approach rawserve.com people and you will have so sweet support and service from them that you can’t even believe.
I am delighted with their service. And soon eParliament.org, eparliament.org.np, eparliament.com.np and eparliament.net.np would be hosted to rawserve servers. Like webhostingtalk, I also rate them ***** (five stars).
Like you, we are also trying to experiment PMachine (not pro, but free as we could not afford the fees because ours is a voluntary unpaid effort to do netjustice to humanity).
